A propos de Lucy

Lucy was born in Tokyo to British/Belgian parents, and lived there for 16 years in total. She speaks English, French, and Japanese fluently. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Japanese and Korean from Soas, University of London, and completed a master’s in Translation Studies (French and Japanese) at University College Cork, Ireland. Lucy also obtained qualified teaching status in the UK. She has 10 + years of experience teaching group lessons and private lessons to both adults and teenagers in secondary schools and learning centres. In addition to teaching, Lucy has also worked as a translator (translating manga), an interpreter, and as a journalist covering European current affairs for a Japanese newspaper in London. Lucy enjoys teaching interactive, collaborative, and inclusive language lessons, using a variety of teaching methods and resources.

Lucy’s hobbies include karaoke, bouldering, and learning Dutch.
